[The feed clicks on, although it's at a slightly weird angle. You can see a street, and a bike, and some of Roxas's face but mostly his leg. The bike looks a little dented but fixed for the most part. The street is relatively clean, but not clean enough for skateboarding, which is why Roxas is glaring at the bike right now. He's having trouble confronting this thing, considering what happened last time. The next part is mumbled very softly.]

[So, despite the dark things going on with the Rockets and all that, Roxas has really been thinking about this joke thing, and senses of humour and all that. He still has trouble with it, but he found a book and he's going to try to tell a joke]

I...I found some jokes. I don't know if everyone likes these kinds though, so I hope they're alright.

[Takes a breath, and it's told in a fairly serious tone. This is still new to him.]

[The feed switches on to show a room at the inn. From the pictures hanging on the wall, you can probably guess that it's Namine's room. Roxas is resting at the foot of the bed, Sparky sleeping on his head again.]

Uh...if anyone was wondering, Namine's alright. She just feel asleep.

[There's a pause, and Roxas looks like he's going to ask another question.]

How can you tell if someone's telling a joke?

[Expect a whole lot of derp since Roxas doesn't really have a sense of humour. and slow tags as usual]

[More specifically filtered from Sora, Kairi, Riku, Ven, Terra, Aqua, Lea, and Isa. Everyone else is fair game]

[The feed clicks on. It's in a room, and upon closer inspection, a room in the Goldenrod inn. You might be able to see part of Roxas's arm, but for the most part, the feed is focused on Axel the Growlithe and Xion the newly hatched Shinx playing tug of war. Not intentionally though. Roxas is planning on saying something. He just has to find the words.]

How...[longer pause. This is bugging him. He's been thinking about this question a lot and finally gotten to a point where he feels he can do something about it but still. It's hard. He's kind of afraid to ask. It has to deal with emotions and thoughts and things that he doesn't really understand. He's trying to hold back his anger, since he knows what happens when he gets angry and it hasn't worked well for him. He's trying something different, for what it's worth]

[Feed clicks on to see a pretty fierce pokemon battle going on. Roxas is going for the Plain badge today, and he seems to be doing pretty well. Girafarig and Clefable. All that's left is Miltank]

Slowpoke, use headbutt!

[A pink blur that seems to stun Miltank]

Use Rollout!

[Miltank curls into a ball and speeds towards Slowpoke. Roxas tells him to dodge but it doesn't work. He recalls Slowpoke]

Your foe's weak, Sparky! Get him!

Ka-chu!

[Another rollout, that Sparky managed to dodge, and then counters with Slam, which stuns the Miltank]

Finish it with thunder!

PI-KA-CHU!

[The bright light of the attack fills the screen, and when it fades there is one knocked out Miltank, and one satisfied Pikachu. Who might be posing. Roxas just has a bit of a smirk. At least, until Winry starts crying]

Uwaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! You big meany! Just take the stupid badge!

[Roxas catches the badge deftly. But isn't so successful with the squirtbottle. Sparky catches the TM]

You know, it was a good battle. You shouldn't cry.

[And with that, he'll pick up the pokegear and leave the gym, feeling pretty pleased with himself. If you want action, you can catch him just leaving the gym or getting ice cream. Because even though it's cold the situation calls for ice cream. If your name is Vanitas you will be getting text. I'll still be tagging the Christmas entry as well, if you want to continue a thread there.]

[Given that Roxas has never actually experienced Christmas, he's not as excited as your average boy might be on the big morning. Still, he's kind of amazed by the amount of gifts that he has received from people. He hadn't really been expecting that. He also wonders where the strange egg came from,

. So many pokemon eggs. He stares at the pile, wondering where to start, since you opened the presents, right?

Tug, tug. Roxas turns his attention to Sparky, who is looking up at him, paws behind his back. Once he knows he has Roxas's attention, Sparky starts to talk. For pokemon watching at home, it's pretty much a speech about how he's been with Roxas since the beginning, and how much he's appreciated Roxas as his trainer, and that he's glad to be Roxas's pokemon. Whether or not Roxas understands is really not the point, since he's listening intently with an unreadable expression on his face. Then Sparky takes out his present, which is a small, blue stone, similar to the one that Roxas got from the Struggle Trophy back in Twilight Town. The Pikachu wants it to be a symbol of their friendship.

Rather unexpectedly, Sparky is swept up into a hug. It's still hard to read Roxas's expression, but still, it's a lot of emotion being displayed by a boy who isn't supposed to have any]

Just a quick list of what Roxas is getting people for Christmas. Don't expect too much originality since he doesn't quite get the holiday. Placed here so that I don't forget.

Sora - water stone (so they can start their synthesizing project)
Ven - Calcium (for Bolt the Pikachu. Roxas thinks it might help)
Minnie, Kisa, Namine, and Aerith - Pokemon dolls.plushies. ('cause they're cute I guess. Feel free to choose what pokemon you got, within the realm of the first 2 gens. This is Johto after all)
Smoker - a bag of some candies he found in Goldenrod that he really likes.
Heather and Cecil - TMs of your choosing that are available in the Goldenrod Department store.

[The feed clicks on. The pokegear's being held by Fearow today, since Roxas has his hands full. He's managed to save enough for a bike. Not that he knows much about bikes, but he's seen people in Goldenrod with them and they look useful, so he figured he could try it to. He figures it's all about balance and he's good at skateboarding, and that involves balance, so it shouldn't be too hard, right ? Right?

So, he's on the bike, and after a few wobbly starts, he's on his way, sort of. Slowly but surely, he's moving forward. He's getting the pedalling part, and making his way down the street, which is on a bit of a hill, and oh no starting to speed up how do I stop? The image kind of gets distorted at this point, as Fearow has taken off to follow Roxas, but you can hear sounds of the bike and cries from the pokemon, especially Sparky.]

PI--CHU!!

KER--AAASH!!!

[The image finally gets back to normal, only to show a rather bent up bike in front of a lamppost. Roxas is lying beside it, sort of tangled up in it. It's obvious that his pants are torn, and his elbow and knee are scrapped. The feed doesn't catch it, but it's the same for the other elbow, and he's got a bump on his head. He doesn't look too happy, or willing to get up.]

Damn it.

[ooc: First action post will be the one to take Roxas to a place to treat injuries like the inn or pokemon center. Subsequent action threads will be at either aforementioned location to avoid confusion. Video probably won't get you Roxas, but a rather panicked Pikachu. Tags will be slow and most will probably come tomorrow morning]

[The video is looking out at the sky, but part of the street and some buildings can be seen. It doesn't take long to figure out that you're up high. The roof of the Goldenrod City department store to be exact. Roxas has just finished his shift and is enjoying the sunset. A few notes in text appear on the screen]

-I made it to Goldenrod City. It's really big here, but I kind of like it.

-Olette evolved in Meganium. She's really big now. Do all pokemon get bigger when they evolve?

-I'm staying at the inn. It's nice. Having my own room.

-Uh, Kisa, my Growlithe hatched. Thank you, again.

[pause]

I wish I'd remembered to bring some ice cream. That would have been the icing on the cake.

I had a weird dream on the weekend. I got to see [hestitation] friends. From home. It was - I wish he - they could have stayed.

[Roxas is on the roof of the Goldenrod Department store, where he's been going everyday after he finishes work. Old habits are hard to break after all. When he sees the flash from New Bark Town, he's a bit concerned that he's going back home, but instead finds that he's still in Johto once the light fades, and he has some companions on the roof.

There's a Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, and Emonga with him as well. Sparky the Pikachu is undoubtedly pleased to see so many other electric rodents, and Roxas is curious as well. Until he sees the box of sea salt ice cream.]

I don't know what that light was, but I guess it wasn't a bad thing. It's been a while since I last ate ice cream with friends.

[ooc: quiet forth wall since mun still has a paper to write. Um, there will be a non-fourth wall post on Monday, so any specific Route conversations/events that have been planned will happen then, please. I don't want to get overwhelmed. And tags will probably be slow]

Will be away for the weekend so any ongoing tags will be gotten to on Sunday or Monday. I'll be trying to wrap them all up fairly soon, except for the Barney/Larry log because that just started.

[The pokegear is lying on the ground, staring up at pixilated trees and grass. It's weird, kind of creepy. There's sounds of a battle going on, but they end shortly. Roxas picks up the pokegear, but he doesn't look pleased. In fact, he looks sort of panicked. Sounds panicked to]

Sparky just went into his pokeball. He never goes into his pokeball. He's always with me.

None of my pokemon are acting like they usually do.

What's going on?

A friend of Watanuki's. While Roxas hasn't talked to Doumeki, he gets a sense of strength around him and wants to know more about him. He wants to talk to him more.

[The feed clicks on, and before the location is discerned a large bolt of electric light covers the screen. Your eyes might hurt from staring at it. When it fades, there's an image of one very confident Pikachu, and one very fried Scizor.]

Man...I just can't seem to win this week...here, the Hive badge is yours.

[Roxas takes the badge, and the TM, and heads out, Sparky on his shoulder. He picks up the gear on his way, but doesn't really realize it's on till he's out of the building]

....I guess everyone saw that. [sigh, he's starting to hate technology. second accidental video in a week. there's a pause, Roxas has a question to ask]

Uh...has there been any word on Minnie?

And is anyone missing a Haunter? I found one in a pokeball in the forest.

[Foreward dated to tomorrow afternoon]

[It starts out audio and all you can really hear is some rustling, and maybe the music of Ilex forest with the Pokemarch from the radio mixed in. After a few buttons are pushed, the video switches on, and today our wonderful photographer is Sparky. He aims the camera at Roxas, who isn't paying attention. Roxas looks like he's covered in mud, and there's a few branches in his hair. Not too far away, you can see a Chikorita. Roxas has been trying to catch it for a while, but it keeps getting away. He's got a few different pokeballs by his side as well. The apricorn type]

I'm going to get it this time. Butterfree! Use Stun Spore!

[The Butterfree flies towards Chikorita, spreading a gold dust. The Chikorita tries to run, but fails.]

Spearow, peck! That should do it!

[Roxas has been whittling down Chikorita's HP as he's chased it through the forest. It's finally low enough that he can toss a pink pokeball at the stunned pokemon, and after it's captured, he waits for the click, and upon hearing it, he relaxes, and sort of flops to the ground, pleased. After a few moments, he walks over to the ball and picks it up.]

I did it! Sparky, we finally caught Chikorita!

[Only then does he notice the video feed, but get's distracted as the pokeball glows and disappears. He nods, figuring it's gone to the PC box, and then turns and sighs at Sparky, looking at little embarassed. He's not really sure what to say at this point, having not really intended on filming himself.]

[ooc: BBS cast who has not met Roxas, feel free to react to another Ven on your screen. Tags to come tomorrow morning]

[Roxas appears on the video screen, Sparky on his shoulder. He's in a pokemon center, that much is clear, and he looks a little worse for the wear, but that's just because he hasn't had the chance to clean himself up yet]

I made it to Azalea. [pause] I needed to think about stuff, that's why I left Violet. [No more on that subject]

Uh..I caught another pokemon, which gives me six. The guidebook says that's all I can carry so what happens any other pokemon I capture? Am I not allowed to catch anymore or do they go somewhere?

[he trails off, looking around, until another thought comes to him]

There's a lot of slowpoke at the Slowpoke Well that don't have their tails. They looked really sad. What happened?

[There's some conversation in the back, and Roxas sets down the gear. The angle's sort of distorted but you can sort of see that Roxas has a plate of food, and that Sparky's beside him with food also]

It's like the only pokemon the fishermen here can catch is magikarp.

[Roxas's inability to make private text entries strikes. You might be able to draw him into a conversation, but guess who he is and he'll probably just end the conversation. Audio/Video responses will be responded to with text. He won't be too pleased with his mistake]

[Ever since he woke up this morning, Roxas has been seeing ghostly apparitions of both Axel and Xion, his two best friends who he's fought with and either hurt or killed. They've both been glaring at him, and while Roxas has been trying to ignore them, it's been getting worse as the day goes on. Especially with the Xion apparition, since he has no idea who she is, but feels like he should know her. But he knows why Axel's there, and has tried to explain, but it's failed.

In an attempt to get rid of these apparitions, Roxas made the mistake of going outside, and the nightmare fog has hit him full force. He ended up seeing an apparition of DiZ, or in his mind "the guy in red" who Roxas can't stand because he says that Roxas shouldn't exist. He's tried to attack DiZ several times, each time failing, and so he's kind of banged up. All the while, DiZ has been lecturing him on why he shouldn't exist.]

You said it yourself, no one would miss you. You were never meant to exist in the first place.

Shut up! I deserve to exist as much as anyone! Why shouldn't I?

Without you, Sora can't wake up.

Yes, he can! He already did! I met him.

But then he disappeared. What if he's stuck, still asleep? Then what? Will you keep existing despite that?

I...I....[Roxas stammers. He's met Sora, and come to like him. Would he wish that on his Other? To stay asleep while he keeps travelling? But then, what about Sora's promise? What about his goals? Why isn't he allowed to have any? What if he really is keeping Sora asleep? Doesn't Sora get to exist to? He's already hurt people he cares about to stay alive.]

[At this point the pokegear falls to the ground and the video feed clicks on. You can sort of see Roxas, looking a little worse for the wear collapse against a tree, holding a stick. It's a little hard to see him, since his hood's up and it's black, but you might be able to see some of his hair poking out. He's not really responding to anything.

Sparky, being concerned about why his trainer's acting all weird, tries to wake Roxas up, through various means, including shocking his trainer]

Pi--chu? Pi--chu! Pikapika....KA-CHU! KA-CHU!

[The thundershocks aren't working, so Sparky runs to the gear, chattering and trying to get help]

[ooc: Most of Roxas's nightmares revolve around the fact that he has hurt his best friends, and basically wondering about his own worth and reason to exist. Especially in the sense of, if he's here and decides to stay here, will Sora ever wake up in their world? Since Roxas has come to know Sora, is it fair to force him to keep sleeping?

Roxas's conversation with Apparition!DiZ is all audio. And now he's just sort of panicked himself unconscious, and probably won't be able to respond. You'll probably just get a scared Pikachu telling you to come help him, and when Roxas wakes up, he won't want to talk to people all that much.]

Has anyone seen Kairi around? I haven't seen or heard from her for a while.

Uh...Namine, are you still in Violet? Sora, what about you?

It's raining again. I hope it doesn't flood like last time.
