[The feed clicks on. It's in a room, and upon closer inspection, a room in the Goldenrod inn. You might be able to see part of Roxas's arm, but for the most part, the feed is focused on Axel the Growlithe and Xion the newly hatched Shinx playing tug of war. Not intentionally though. Roxas is planning on saying something. He just has to find the words.]

How...[longer pause. This is bugging him. He's been thinking about this question a lot and finally gotten to a point where he feels he can do something about it but still. It's hard. He's kind of afraid to ask. It has to deal with emotions and thoughts and things that he doesn't really understand. He's trying to hold back his anger, since he knows what happens when he gets angry and it hasn't worked well for him. He's trying something different, for what it's worth]

Speaking as someone who supposedly has the worst tunnel vision in my world, that's not always such a bad thing.

What is it you get distracted by? Something interesting and better? Sometimes it's the unexpected clue that provides the best lead.

Usually if someone says something. A taunt. I fall for it.

Patience. And learning that what other people say doesn't matter.

Watched a kid rush to his death over something like that; it'd be a shame to watch it again. Want some help learning?

No problem. All right, the first thing to keep in mind is that just because someone says it doesn't make it true.

If I say your head is made of ice cream as an insult, it's pretty ridiculous right? Hardly something worth getting upset over.

Right. But most times they're get at something from my past. Stuff I don't want to talk about.

Then you got to learn to ignore it, and get stronger than it.

The only time something works as an insult is when it's true and hits close to something you're worried about. But keep in mind, it's in the past. You can't change the past, but you aren't always going to be the same as then either. Get stronger, keep following your justice and if people rag on you about the past, at least you'll remember you've got the recent things to be proud of, and a future to look forward to as long as you keep striving ahead.

[Smoker's used to being ignored by the people he gives justice speeches to, he keeps talking anyways and usually something drifts through.]

Your own. What sort of good would you like to see in the future or the world? What does your head tell you is the right thing to do?

lol and here I thought that Smoker was testing Roxas. If you want to edit that's cool.

Then find it. Or it'll come to you as you go. If you see an injustice, stick up for those who need it and don't back down.

For me that was stopping pirates. Here, I guess that could be a bullied pokemon or friend, or stopping idiot criminals. So long as you follow your justice without hesitation, I don't think you'll have any regrets, Roxas.

[A nod. Maybe this is another step he needs to take, aside from revenge or finding things he's better at. Smoker's usually been pretty good with advice]
