Day 19 - Video/Text/Action for Goldenrod [Not Fourth Wall]

[The video is looking out at the sky, but part of the street and some buildings can be seen. It doesn't take long to figure out that you're up high. The roof of the Goldenrod City department store to be exact. Roxas has just finished his shift and is enjoying the sunset. A few notes in text appear on the screen]

-I made it to Goldenrod City. It's really big here, but I kind of like it.

-Olette evolved in Meganium. She's really big now. Do all pokemon get bigger when they evolve?

-I'm staying at the inn. It's nice. Having my own room.

-Uh, Kisa, my Growlithe hatched. Thank you, again.

[pause]

I wish I'd remembered to bring some ice cream. That would have been the icing on the cake.

I had a weird dream on the weekend. I got to see [hestitation] friends. From home. It was - I wish he - they could have stayed.

Maybe, although I think they'd be more obvious, if it was.

Perhaps they were, but we simply don't remember it? The dream I had couldn't possibly cover three whole days. Something else must have happened; we merely cannot recall it.

Maybe you just lost track of time, in the dream.

I might have. I was so happy to see them, even a thousand years would have been too short.

Yeah, I know the feeling.

It's a shame, though. From what I hear on the network, not everyone was as lucky as we were.

Oh? I guess others had weirder dreams it seems.

So many are panicking or lost. I know missing three days is a bad thing, but still... Thinking about that dream, I feel better about it.

I..had no idea. But, yeah, I think missing those days was worth it.

Perhaps it was. I'd still like an explanation for the sandwiches, though. Their presence is simply baffling.

We talked. I remember those. Maybe you were hungry when you fell asleep.

Hungry enough to feed all of Violet, apparently. I don't recognize half those ingredients.

Were you able to share them?

I think so. I vaguely remember offering them to a Pokémon in the forest. ...Forest?

The only forest I can think of is the Ilex forest.

...Which means I somehow went from Violet to the Ilex Forest to the Sudowoodo. Sleepwalking?

I guess so...maybe the distances got short again.

That's the most probable explanation. At least it didn't come with pixels this time.

Yeah, that was good. I'm glad things stayed pretty normal.

As much as this world can be normal, at least.

There's a regularity to it. I think everyone gets used to it.

I guess people can get used to anything, if they live with it long enough.
