Day 13 - Appropriate number is appropriate. Video/Action

[Ever since he woke up this morning, Roxas has been seeing ghostly apparitions of both Axel and Xion, his two best friends who he's fought with and either hurt or killed. They've both been glaring at him, and while Roxas has been trying to ignore them, it's been getting worse as the day goes on. Especially with the Xion apparition, since he has no idea who she is, but feels like he should know her. But he knows why Axel's there, and has tried to explain, but it's failed.

In an attempt to get rid of these apparitions, Roxas made the mistake of going outside, and the nightmare fog has hit him full force. He ended up seeing an apparition of DiZ, or in his mind "the guy in red" who Roxas can't stand because he says that Roxas shouldn't exist. He's tried to attack DiZ several times, each time failing, and so he's kind of banged up. All the while, DiZ has been lecturing him on why he shouldn't exist.]

You said it yourself, no one would miss you. You were never meant to exist in the first place.

Shut up! I deserve to exist as much as anyone! Why shouldn't I?

Without you, Sora can't wake up.

Yes, he can! He already did! I met him.

But then he disappeared. What if he's stuck, still asleep? Then what? Will you keep existing despite that?

I...I....[Roxas stammers. He's met Sora, and come to like him. Would he wish that on his Other? To stay asleep while he keeps travelling? But then, what about Sora's promise? What about his goals? Why isn't he allowed to have any? What if he really is keeping Sora asleep? Doesn't Sora get to exist to? He's already hurt people he cares about to stay alive.]

[At this point the pokegear falls to the ground and the video feed clicks on. You can sort of see Roxas, looking a little worse for the wear collapse against a tree, holding a stick. It's a little hard to see him, since his hood's up and it's black, but you might be able to see some of his hair poking out. He's not really responding to anything.

Sparky, being concerned about why his trainer's acting all weird, tries to wake Roxas up, through various means, including shocking his trainer]

Pi--chu? Pi--chu! Pikapika....KA-CHU! KA-CHU!

[The thundershocks aren't working, so Sparky runs to the gear, chattering and trying to get help]

[ooc: Most of Roxas's nightmares revolve around the fact that he has hurt his best friends, and basically wondering about his own worth and reason to exist. Especially in the sense of, if he's here and decides to stay here, will Sora ever wake up in their world? Since Roxas has come to know Sora, is it fair to force him to keep sleeping?

Roxas's conversation with Apparition!DiZ is all audio. And now he's just sort of panicked himself unconscious, and probably won't be able to respond. You'll probably just get a scared Pikachu telling you to come help him, and when Roxas wakes up, he won't want to talk to people all that much.]

[She noticed the strange figure on the video figure, but she didn't recognize him because his face was covered and it was dark. Luckily she did recognize the Pikachu on the screen and looks worried.]

Sparky? Hey, what's wrong? Where's Roxas?

[Oh thank Arceus, someone has come to help. Sparky looks very relieved and starts pointing behind him to Roxas's crouched figure]

Pikapikapika!!!

[She follows Sparky's direction to a crouched figure and looks even more worried.]

Roxas!

[Where can he be? She looks down at the Chansey by her side. Luckily the Chansey was paying attention because she noticed the look her trainer was giving and nodded in response. Aerith wants Chansey to listen closely to Sparky to know where Roxas might be.]

Sparky, where are you and Roxas? You two haven't left Violet City yet, right? Do you know in which route you're in?

[Sparky thinks for a moment. Where are they? Roxas just sorta ran into the woods.]

Ka...chu? Pikachu! Kachu pipipichu!

[Route 32]

[Aerith turns to Chansey and gives her the paper map from her bag and the pink pokemon points to where Sparky said they were.]

Route 32?

[She turns to Sparky and nods her head.]

Sparky, I'll be at there in a few minutes. Make sure Roxas doesn't move from that spot. Understood?

[And she'll be giving him the order while walking to the very same direction.]

Kachu!

[Sparky seems to salute. It doesn't seem like Roxas is going to be moving anytime soon.
ooc: might help to have her catch up with Demyx to avoid confusion]

[She'll give Sparky a one last smile.]

Good boy! I'll see you soon.

[And the transmission will end there.]

[ooc: Got it! I'll hijack that thread in a few moments. xD]

[Having heard the noise on the gear, Demyx is slowly making his way over, coming to a stop and staring down at Roxas. He's got his Org coat on, hood up, and a vaguely grim expression on his face. A moment passes before he pokes at Roxas with his boot.]

Hey.

[Roxas sort of stirs, but Sparky is very pleased to see Demyx]

Hnn?

Pikachupika! Pi--chu! Kachu.

Oi, Roxas.

[Pokin' him harder and ignoring the Pikachu somewhat.]

[Roxas stirs again, and then sort of wakes up. He's kind of half-asleep at the moment, and still under the effects of the hallucination]

Huh? Demyx.....

Sheesh, don't tell me you're going nuts, too.

Don't know...maybe...I...

Maybe what?

[He's tempted to pull the kid up and make him go back to the pokémon center or something.]

Might be...seeing things. There was Axel...and that guy in red. I don't remember what happened.

You're definitely seeing things, kid. Axel's not here, far as I know.

He was, but...[trailing off...]

But he's not now.

I know...I...I didn't kill him, right?

[He looks down at the ground. He's got a million questions and thoughts and worries floating around in his head and he doesn't know what to do with them all. His grip on his stick tightens.]

Un, no? Why would you?

We fought, in Twilight Town...and I...I don't get it.

[He's not thinking straight, is having trouble focusing.]

You gotta be kidding me. Look, Roxas, you didn't kill him.

So...he's alright?

[He shakes his head. He knew that, or least felt that he should have. He sounds a little more like himself now]

What's going on?

Oh, you know, people just going absolutely crazy because of some pokémon in the fog or something.

Pokemon? But how did they know...about everything? Why did they?

Maybe they're getting into heads. Would explain why everyone's having nightmares and seeing things, wouldn't it.

Yeah, I guess so. What kind of pokemon were they?

[Sparky is much relieved that Roxas seems to be mostly awake now, and is currently fussing about his trainer.]

No clue! Haven't seen any yet myself.

[Roxas looks around for a bit, and then nods.]

I think I want to get out of here before they get back.

[He tries to stand up]

[He can help with that. And will even offer a hand to Roxas for it.]

[Roxas takes Demyx's hand, and sort of stumbles upwards. Sparky jumps onto his shoulder]

[Does he need to be led back to the pokémon center?]

[Yeah, otherwise hallucinations might strike again]

[Right. Leading Roxas to the pokémon center it is, then.]

[Although he doesn't say it, Roxas is glad to have Demyx there. It makes him feel a little braver]

[Well, Roxas is a familiar face, and one he doesn't have trouble with at that. He's "happy" to help.]
