[The video opens on Roxas. He looks a bit worn out and kind of slumped.]

For anyone who has a Joltik, just so you know. They get bigger when they evolve.

[He lifts to camera up to show a Galvantura sitting happily on Roxas's head while Sparky is chattering at him to get down. The Galvantura shows no signs of moving, but rather settles in further, it's front legs coming down in front of Roxas's face. He attempts to brush them out of the way to no avail.]

A lot bigger.

I was thinking we should head out to Kanto soon. Is that alright?

[He doesn't mind. Travelling's all part of the deal after all.]

He looks like a good partner. I started with a Pichu, but he's a Pikachu now.

[And that is Sparky's cue to start hamming it up on screen.]

[Partner. The term is still a little foreign to him and he just looks down at Torchic, his steps slowing before he finds a tree that looks like it'll provide enough cover and sits beneath it.]

... Maybe.

Trust me. They make great partners.

... Sasuke. [Somehow, since introducing himself to Kairi, giving his name out seems to be easier. At least his first name, since that isn't particularly dangerous.

And that noise over the music would be the rain starting to fall where Sasuke is.]

You've been here a long time?

[Makes little difference to Roxas.]

Yeah. Just over two years now.

Mm.

[Forgive the social awkwardness, as that seems to be a running theme with Sasuke. He gives a nod at that, unhitching his bag from his shoulder and settling enough for Hiruzen to finally just fall asleep. Still, two years? That's a serious setback for him, if he ends up staying there that long. Or longer.]

[Roxas sort of gets it. He's not as social as his other, but he can be talkative. Especially since the two years have done a good job of mellowing him out.]

So, where are you now?

Route 29. We should be getting into Cherrygrove City tomorrow night.

It's been a long time since I've been there.

Cherrygrove's a nice place though.

We'll have to stay there for a few days. Hiruzen needs the rest and I need to stock up on supplies before we head out to Violet City.

[He pauses, then glances back to Roxas.] Did you travel alone?

When I started out, yeah I did. Well, alone as one can be with a pokemon.

It helps to try and catch more pokemon, so that you can build up a team.

... I was thinking of finding a flying type soon anyway.

[True, he's seen a ton around the route, and a few of them even look kind of appealing. But at the same time, he isn't sure he wants one of them. He wants more information about how they'll evolve and how the can get stronger first...]

They're a good type to have. I have a Fearow, and he's been really useful, both in battle and in travelling.

[Fearow, Fearow, which one is that... Wait a second. He frowns thoughtfully at one of the 'unlocked' entries of his pokedex before looking up at the feed again.]

Evolves from Spearow?

Yeah, that's the one. He's been a Fearow for a long time though.

How fast is it?

To evolve? Uh, level eighteen I think they evolve at.

No, in battle.

Pretty fast. He has the flight advantage, which is good for avoiding attacks.

[He nods seriously for a moment.]

I'll think about catching one.

Spearow and Pidgey are pretty common where you are, so it's easy to catch one. There might be a few others. Like I said, it's been a long time since I've been there.

It'll have to wait until we're in town. [He glances down to Hiruzen, who's still snoozing peacefully in his lap.]

... We'll be useless if we don't take the time to rest.

There's a lot of time here to build up your team, so you don't really have to rush.

[He glances away from the feed then, looking blankly at some far off point so that he won't be tempted to look at the screen or at Roxas again.] Mm.
