[And off it dives right into the water. She catches up after a while, pausing to just stare at the water. Never seen the beach? Hell yeah.]

[Roxas glances up to see her, and then back at the water]

It's nice, isn't it?

... It is.

[She sits down next to him, setting her bag down next to her. Her sandals are already in it since she's barefoot. After a while, she lets out Sea as well, letting the Vaporeon babysit the Piplup.]

You've been to Destiny Islands before, right?

I don't...know.

[There's a pause as he thinks about it. All he really knows is that it's Sora's home, but there's a really fuzzy memory some where in there.]

Maybe.

[She digs in the bag and pulls out a bar of Sea Salt Ice cream, handing it to him.]

Well, here's to you being here for one who year. Congratulations.

[You see this look, Namine. This look is saying you are the best ever!]

There's something else too.

[She digs through her bag some more with one hand, ice cream temporarily forgotten.]

Really?

['Cause he is totally happy with the ice cream]

[And she hands him a wrapped gift. Spoiler: it's a camera. Given that his last experience with photos was a disaster, maybe it will be better this time.]

... I figured this day would be special to you. So...

[Roxas looks at the gift. He's not sure what to say. He's never gotten what is technically a birthday gift before]

...thank you. Um...Can I open it now?

Sure.

[... oops, she needs to catch up on her ice cream.]

[Since he doesn't have anywhere to put the ice cream while he's opening the present, he's sort of holding it with his mouth. He pauses when he sees the camera, not quite sure what to say. This brings back a lot of memories, both good and bad.]

[She sees that and pauses in eating herself.]

... I know, it's weird but...I just thought.... wouldn't it be nice to have something to remind you of places you've visited or people you've met? ... then again, if you don't really want it...

[For her, she's been happy to sketch and look back later at all the things she'd seen.]

No...I do. I...thank you.

...I can actually be in these pictures, right? I'm not going to disappear?

[And he will set about opening the box. You may have to help him Namine because what are instructions?]

[She hands her ice cream to her Piplup, who had just resurfaced at the sight of food. And will now proceed to run away with it. But she doesn't care.

It's like the one Pence has, that can make photos instantly. She figured it would be a nice callback. There's a handy instruction booklet if he needs help later on, but right now, it's all set up and ready for snapping action.]

[Roxas is not so generous with his food and as such has to finish his ice cream first, but he was almost done anyway. He'll take a look at it, stuffing the booklet into his pocket before he stands up and points it at the ocean.]

Go stand by the ocean and I'll take a picture.

[Oh right, it never occured to her that he'd want to take a picture of her. She hesitates a little but does so, tucking a strand of her hair behind dher ear self consciously when the breeze blows.]

Yeah. I mean, that's what pictures are for, right? To remember your friends and stuff?

[He stands up and aims the camera. It takes him a moment since it's his first time and him and machines don't really get along. But after a moment, CLICK!]

[What is saying cheese. But that's a pleased smile that he managed to snap, alright. She's happy he likes it, at least.]

[He takes the picture and waits for a bit.]

Yeah, it turned out great! See!

[Hang on she needs to this. Pictures in just mere seconds? This is almost magic to someone who labors all day in a drawing. Of course, she knows about computers, but what are cameras.]

So it really does take pictures instantly. That's amazing...

Yeah, I guess it does. That's really neat.

You could have picked a better subject than me though.

[She's pointedly staring at the photo. She looks so weird being in one.]
