[Foreward dated to tomorrow afternoon]

[It starts out audio and all you can really hear is some rustling, and maybe the music of Ilex forest with the Pokemarch from the radio mixed in. After a few buttons are pushed, the video switches on, and today our wonderful photographer is Sparky. He aims the camera at Roxas, who isn't paying attention. Roxas looks like he's covered in mud, and there's a few branches in his hair. Not too far away, you can see a Chikorita. Roxas has been trying to catch it for a while, but it keeps getting away. He's got a few different pokeballs by his side as well. The apricorn type]

I'm going to get it this time. Butterfree! Use Stun Spore!

[The Butterfree flies towards Chikorita, spreading a gold dust. The Chikorita tries to run, but fails.]

Spearow, peck! That should do it!

[Roxas has been whittling down Chikorita's HP as he's chased it through the forest. It's finally low enough that he can toss a pink pokeball at the stunned pokemon, and after it's captured, he waits for the click, and upon hearing it, he relaxes, and sort of flops to the ground, pleased. After a few moments, he walks over to the ball and picks it up.]

I did it! Sparky, we finally caught Chikorita!

[Only then does he notice the video feed, but get's distracted as the pokeball glows and disappears. He nods, figuring it's gone to the PC box, and then turns and sighs at Sparky, looking at little embarassed. He's not really sure what to say at this point, having not really intended on filming himself.]

I think so. You're only allowed to carry six pokemon, and that was my seventh. So I think it went to the PC.

The PC? Is that a storage area for extra Pokémon? It wouldn't be practical if you had to go back to Violet or Cherrygrove just to be able to use your new Pokémon. Unless it can teleport back?

I think so. I can get to it from Azalea town, so I guess it just teleports.

If they can make teleporting pokéballs, they should think about inventing a way to teleport people. It would make travelling easier, especially for those who can't read maps.

It would, but then you'd miss out on the travelling, and the training.

Considering the number of times some of us had to travel between Cherrygrove and Violet, I don't think that would be too much of a problem. But then again, seeing new routes with my own eyes is nice too.

[Roxas nods]

I haven't really had to do that, so I guess I never thought of it that way.

You managed to keep going forward? I think you are in the minority. Most tend to gravitate around Violet, for some reason.

I was in Violet for a while, training to get the gym badge, and meet some people. Then...I decided to keep going.

Do you have a travelling party, or did you leave by yourself?

I'm travelling by myself.

That's quite brave of you, exploring a strange new world alone. Have you met new friends on your journey?

I'm...kinda used to it. A few. I talk to people over the pokegear, and there's always my pokemon.

As long as you have those, you never have to truly be alone, I guess.

Nope. I like having them with me.

Do you gat along with all of them? I know some people have problems with theirs, especially the ghosts.

Most of the time. Slowpoke likes to run, and sometimes he doesn't listen.

It sounds like he's a bit of a handful.

He can be, yeah. If I'm not paying attention.

Other than that, is he a good fighter?

Yeah, he is. I just need to raise his level more, and then I can challenge the Gym Leader!

Do you intend to do so soon?

[A nod. He doesn't want to get left behind, since he knows a bunch of people already have the Hive badge]

I hope so. I just want to make sure I'm strong enough. I think this gym is even tougher than the one in Violet.
