Day 10 - Action for those in/around Violet.

[So, today in Violet City, it's a pleasant evening. And there is one very determined slowpoke marching along the street]

Poke, poke, poke, poke...

[There's also one very confused trainer chasing after it.]

Slowpoke, where are you going?

[I don't think even Slowpoke even knows. It just needs to get somewhere. Feel free to help Roxas catch him.]

[As luck would have it, Ven rounds a corner and has a Slowpoke bonk right into his legs. He lets out a small, surprised sound and flails a little before staring down at the critter]

Hi, there, uh...gosh what are you?

[Digs for his pokégear]

Whoa... HEY, WHAT'S THAT?

[Slowpoke doesn't really seem to have realized that he has hit someone, but rather continues on his journey. Roxas comes running up behind him]

That's my slowpoke!

[He holds out it's pokeball, trying to recall it, but the beam doesn't reach where Slowpoke is]

It's a slowpoke.

[Ven casts a puzzled glane in Roxas' direction]

It is..? I'll help you then!

[That's cue for Ven to try and get in that Slowpoke's way again, so Roxas can catch up to it]

[Roxas nods, quite aware of the irony that he's chasing after a pokemon known for it's slowness]

Thanks. I didn't know he could move so fast.

[Slowpoke in the meantime is just plowing on ahead. What is driving him?]

With a name like that, I'm surprised too.

[At least they're both speed demons, although Slowpoke has a bit of a head start]

[And he doesn't show signs of stopping]

I just need to get him back into his pokeball, so if we could slow him down somehow...

Oh, I know!

[Ven throws a pokéball in Slowpoke's direction and out comes Drifloon]

Drifloon, get a hold of him!

[And with that, Drifloon grabs onto Slowpoke's tail...and gets dragged along. Does seem to slow it down a bit though]

Slowpoke? What's it doing?

[Totodile is now following Slowpoke and trying to catch up. God knows why.]

Eh? Mr. Hat Junior? Where are you going?

[Both Chansey and Aerith notice the Slowpoke passing by them. Aerith doesn't think much about the pokemon until she notices a familiar boy calling it out to it.] Roxas? [She turns to Chansey and points toward Slowpoke.] Stop that pokemon, Chansey!

[Chansey goes after the Slowpoke as quickly as her large body can take her.] Sey! Chansey chan!? [Stop! Wait for me!?]

That seems to be working!

[Granted, Roxas has been chasing slowpoke for a while and is kind of out of breath. Still he goes for another sprint with the pokeball. Another miss]

Maybe we need another pokemon to slow him down.

Right now? Running, for some reason.

[Roxas runs up behind her.]

Probably wherever my slowpoke's going.

Poke, poke, poke, poke

[Slowpoke has taken no notice of Chansey, but continues on. Roxas just sort of waves at Aerith and tries to keep up with Slowpoke.]

[Welp, let's not just stand there.]

Why? [Let's try the Pokéball... Nope.] Mr. Hat Junior! Come back here! [She's running now.]

[Chansey pouts and chases after the Slowpoke because she hates to be ignored and her trainer asked her to stop him. Stubborn pokemon is stubborn.] Chansey!

Hmmm. [Aerith began to wonder what was going on with Slowpoke until she catches glimpse of Roxas. She smiles and decides to follow because now her Chansey isn't going to come back until she completes the task.] Hey, Roxas. Is something wrong with your Slowpoke?

I dunno. He just decided he needed to move, I guess. It seems it's a game of follow the leader.

I don't think there is. He just needed to go somewhere while we were training.

What if it's something important? Like someone's stuck in a tree! [... Yes, Trucy. Yes... someone's stuck in a tree. That's why Slowpoke's moving.]

That's kinda odd. I wonder if there's something attracting him to go to wherever he's going.

[Chansey will keep chasing after Slowpoke, but she's still a few feet away.]

Need help there kiddo?

You think Slowpoke could sense something like that?

[The pokedex did say he was psychic]

Maybe he smelled something. I don't know what else is driving him.
