[Roxas is out training today on Route 38, just outside of Ecruteak.]

Huh? Pika?

[He bends down and takes off his backpack, opening it to reveal the egg he got for Easter. Seems like it's hatching time!]

Already?

[Not that Roxas really has any more time to comment, as the egg breaks open and...]

Oof!

[It takes a few minutes for things to get sorted out, but when the feed is actually showing something useful again, it's Roxas, flat on his back with an Aron on his chest. It seems to be quite cuddly. And very heavy. As physically fit as he is, Roxas can barely move with a 132 pound pokemon on his chest. Sparky's trying to help him out but it doesn't seem to be working. Roxas tries for a moment to push it off but no such luck. So he's just kind of lying there, on Route 38, with an Aron on his chest. At least it's kinda cute, right?]

That… is a very interesting kind of Pokémon. It looks very heavy?

[Eagle chuckles because the answer to that question is fairly obvious. ]

What kind of Pokémon is that?

You could say that.

[It takes him a moment to actually reach the pokegear since the Aron is restricting his movement. Give him a moment to check the pokedex.]

It's called Aron.

[Waits patiently… after all it must be difficult to move a creature that heavy if it has decided it does not wish to be moved. ]

An Aron? It is deceptively tiny looking…

[Added after a moment’s consideration. ]

But, it is very cute. Congratulations.

[Aron has decided that he loves his dad]

[Staged pause, waiting for a name to be supplied. ]

Roxas.

[There's a pause. Can't say he's ever heard of a place called Autozam. The next bit is added on kind of quickly, as if he just remembered.]

Have you been here for very long, Roxas?

Almost a year now. I've been here for a while.

[Unsure whether that is a good or a bad thing really. ]

I haven't really minded. I like it here.

In that case, I’m glad you have been able to stay here so long.

[Eagle here still hasn’t made up his mind about this place yet. ]

Maybe you have a good reason for not wanting to return.

[Eagle certainly has a reason… even though he is leaning towards going back anyway. ]

I'd say so.

[Going home = no more existing.]

Then there is nothing wrong with your wanting to stay here.

[Exactly! This is true in Eagle’s case as well. ^_^ ]

Most people seem to think it is. Everyone always seems to want to go home.

That sounds reasonable too. They might be homesick… or have been forced to leave in the middle of something very important.

But, I don’t see anything wrong with your wanting to stay here instead of returning. Besides the little Pokémon creatures are pretty cute. I presume they would have to stay here if one did leave.

I think so. When other people go home, the pokemon stay here. But I couldn't imagine leaving Sparky, or any of my other pokemon.

That would be hard. Even if they are horribly stubborn… [Said loud enough for a certain Vulpix to hear. ] … it will be difficult to say goodbye to them.

Yeah. It's weird how attached you get.

[It's kind of surprised Roxas. Since he didn't want to get attached to anything when he arrived]

What pokemon do you have?

[The video pans over to highlight the little Vulpix. ]

We decided her name was Carrera. She is a Vulpix.

And then there are these two.
[The video pans again, this time to show off the two eggs nesting in a backpack. ]

I'm not sure what they will be since they haven't hatched yet.

I've seen a vulpix before, they're fire types, right?. But I don't really know about the eggs.

Carrera does have fire magic.

[He chuckles and tilts his head ever so slightly to the right. ]

I was surprised to learn that.

The PokéDex can’t identify them either, I suppose the eggs will have to be a surprise when they finally hatch.

You think it's magic?

It's not very good at identifying eggs. A breeder might be able to though.

Isn’t it? [He seems surprised to think it could be anything else. ]

I know some one who used fire as her magic… so I just assumed that what the Pokémon were using was also a form of magic.

It's not like the magic I used at home, so I didn't think it was.

There's a lot of different magic if it is.

I can’t say for sure that it is magic… usually I would ask someone what he thought it was.

[But of course Lantis isn’t here to ask. ]

I always just thought it was something they did.

Are you all right over there? [It's made of metal after all, though it does seem rather small. Can't be too heavy, right?]

Yeah...I'm okay.

[Sort of. It's kinda tough to breath]

[He notices that, but doesn't comment further.]

The pokedex said it's called Aron. I've never seen one before though.

It is a rather small pokémon. Is it even able to fight?

I think so. Most pokemon are.

It's heavy enough to.

[Heavy? That thing?] How heavy is it?

Heavy enough that I can't move.

I think it's made of metal.

That's quite a catch you have there.

... Isn't it a little hard to breathe then?

I didn't even catch him. He came from an egg.

A little, but I can manage.

[An egg?] The one given last Sunday, you mean?

As long as it's not crushing you, then.

Yeah, that's when it showed up. It just hatched now.

It is... cute. What are you planning on naming him?

I don't know yet. Not very good at coming up with names.
