Day 28 [Video/Action]

[Once again, the feed clicks on during a gym battle, in the last few moments, since Roxas dropped the gear in excitement. Sparky is striking his victory pose as there is a fried Gengar not too far away.

Morty nods in approval and comes forward to congratulate Roxas, although our young hero appears to have other plans. He practically snatches the badge and TM from the stunned gym leader, and runs towards the exit, scooping up the gear on his way out. Sparky has to run to catch up and the feed ends abruptly. This ends the video portion.]

[Once outside, Roxas falls to his knees and is breathing pretty hard, pokegear and TM scattered around him, but the badge is held firmly in his hand. He'll be fine in a few minutes, but it should be obvious that someone really doesn't like ghost pokemon. See Day 13 for details. Once he recovers, he'll want to go for ice cream, so for action people in Ecruteak, feel free to encounter him in front of the gym or while getting ice cream. Video people, all responses will come after he's gotten ice cream and he won't want to talk about what happened.]

[ She should totally do that when she gets her first Gym Badge, too. ]

[ Nods, and she's ready to follow Roxas to wherever this ice cream giving place is in this town. ]

[He will not steer her wrong. He's managed to scope that out already.]

[ Axel is on her heels, scanning the area around them with a surreptitious eye. At least he's behaving. For now. ]

[Sparky will turn around from Roxas's shoulder to give a friendly wave]

Here it is. They don't really have sea salt, but some of their other flavors are good.

[ Axel just narrows his eyes back and doesn't say anything back. ]

Huh, what kind of flavors would you recommend?

Sparky likes strawberry, and I like chocolate. There's this one flavor that has both of them and vanilla, and it's pretty good.

[Sparky sighs and then just kind of chats at Axel. He's in a talkative mood.]

So... I guess that one, then?

[ Giving you a smoldering glare, Sparky. His stare is... is also assessing if he has a chance to win if he fights you. ]

If you want. There are some other flavours there, but I haven't really tried them all.

[And here's Sparky just trying to be friendly. Also, good luck with that Axel, he's in the 70s for his level]

We should try a different flavor each time one of us wins a badge. How about that?

[ Then she notices the exchange. Almost sighs. ] Come on, Axel, don't be mean. [ Axel just gives her a look. Guessing that Roxas' pokemon, even the cute lil' Sparky is rather powerful, she'll just try to steer Axel away before he starts causing trouble. And as soon as she reaches a hand down... ]

Ow! [ It's an involuntary reaction, and it didn't really hurt much now that she's getting used to it, but Axel the Quilava's just glaring defiantly back at her with his mouth clamped onto her hand. ]

I like that idea!

[Roxas glances at his Pikachu, who shrugs. He was just being nice]

Hey!

[A slightly delayed reaction to the bite. He'll stare down at the Quilava after watching him bite.]

You shouldn't do that. You shouldn't let him do that.

I figured he would just get tired of it... Eventually...

[ Sounds half-sheepish, half-resigned. She doubts telling Roxas that it's probably some karma that she's getting flak from Axel... and willingly accepting it because of that. Still, she slightly glares back at Axel and wiggles him to let go of her hand before she shakes it. ]

He might. But pokemon are a lot like animals, you have to discipline them if they do something wrong. They shouldn't be biting you or something.

[Does he have to teach you and Data-Riku? Seriously guys.]

Discipline... like how?

[ Mostly asking for suggestions on how to do so without, you know... possibly making Axel's countenance worse. And yup, sorry. ]

I don't know...punishment? Something to teach him that biting your hand is bad and that he shouldn't be doing that.

[There's a pause, since the only real example he can think of is counter-intuitive to his point. Sparky shocks him if he grabs the Pikachu's tail]

Whenever Bell is out, she behaves him... I guess because she's stronger than him. [ And Bell just loves her. ] But I don't want to keep resorting to that.

Then you have to prove that you're the stronger one against him. Maybe he'll listen to you better after that.

[ Falls silent. Prove that she's the stronger... She wonders how she'll go about that. ]

It's just something to think about. C'mon, let's go get that ice cream.

[ Nods. ] Right.

[ Follows after him, but not after giving Axel a glance before moving. ]

[Sparky will keep an eye on him. Be nice Mr. Quilava]

[ Axel's also just gonna follow, but keeping an eye on Sparky, too. The tension! ]
