Day 28 [Video/Action]

[Once again, the feed clicks on during a gym battle, in the last few moments, since Roxas dropped the gear in excitement. Sparky is striking his victory pose as there is a fried Gengar not too far away.

Morty nods in approval and comes forward to congratulate Roxas, although our young hero appears to have other plans. He practically snatches the badge and TM from the stunned gym leader, and runs towards the exit, scooping up the gear on his way out. Sparky has to run to catch up and the feed ends abruptly. This ends the video portion.]

[Once outside, Roxas falls to his knees and is breathing pretty hard, pokegear and TM scattered around him, but the badge is held firmly in his hand. He'll be fine in a few minutes, but it should be obvious that someone really doesn't like ghost pokemon. See Day 13 for details. Once he recovers, he'll want to go for ice cream, so for action people in Ecruteak, feel free to encounter him in front of the gym or while getting ice cream. Video people, all responses will come after he's gotten ice cream and he won't want to talk about what happened.]

Yeah. It was just something we used to do, so I decided to keep up the tradition.

Do you have company for that, in this place?

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-17 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Usually it's just me and Sparky.

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-17 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods]

Well, you do work together.

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-17 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. This is the first badge I've won while travelling with people, so I'm not really used to company.

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
You weren't traveling with others before?

[He thought you real folk were social creatures...]

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Social and Roxas generally aren't used in the same sentence]

Nope. Just me and my pokemon.

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
[As part of a friendly derp, even. Dataku's not sure what to make of this, although the version of Roxas he's aware of wasn't particularly friendly either.

But the real thing's much nicer]

Do you prefer traveling on your own?

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind it. I guess it's fun, travelling with others.

[He's fine either way really]

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods]

I liked traveling with Euphemia. She taught me a lot of things.

[Course he likes hanging with Team Nobody, they just haven't technically migrated yet]

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Slight shrug]

She disappeared right?

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Right.

[And he's not sure what to make of that, in light of Suzaku saying she dies, but...]

...Sorry, I'm keeping you from your cake-icing, aren't I?

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
It's alright. There's lots of time.

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Okay.

[Well, in that case...]

What was battling Morty like? I don't hear much about him, although he answered some questions for me about local legends.

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
He's pretty strong, and really knows how to use ghost attacks and stuff. It wasn't that hard though since my team's a bit overleveled.

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
I see. How strong is his team then?

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh...somewhere in the fifties for levels. Most of mine are higher than that.

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-21 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
So Zero might be strong enough, but not the others...

[Guess what he's pondering, Roxas]

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-22 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
If you're going to challenge the gym, you'll want a few pokemon to be at a decent level, but there's more to it than that. The leaders are tough.

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-23 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
So I've gathered. But I've heard more about Falkner and Whitney than Morty.

[action]

[identity profile] seasalttwilight.livejournal.com 2011-04-23 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe not a lot of people have fought Morty or something?

[action]

[identity profile] databinder.livejournal.com 2011-04-24 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible. I'm surprised people take so long to progress to this area.

They get stuck in Violet or Goldenrod usually. People have to backtrack for friends and stuff.
