Day 26 - Attempted Private Text to Xion/sort of hackable

Namine and I are on Route 36. We should be in Violet by tomorrow.

[ She reaches out to Namine, but stops, dropping her hand. ]

Please, Namine. Don't feel bad about this; it was my choice, anyway.

[ Xion then looks Roxas. ] I... I had make you do it.

Make me do what?

[... Xion, you're getting a hug from her later, okay ):

She remains quiet, eyes remaining downcast.]

Put an end to me.

[At this, Roxas almost stumbles backwards. He had fought Xion as well? That was two friends that he'd fought now. He looks down at the ground, really not sure what to say. There's a long pause]

So, after I...that, you went back to Sora I guess?

... not really.

[She's looking at him now meaningfully. Haven't you ever wondered why you can suddenly wield, well, in Axel's words, TWO?!]

I... I don't know. I guess, considering...

[ She's looking pointedly at Namine. Since she's from the moment she disappears, and she found herself here, even she's unsure. ]

[Roxas looks at Namine]

Is that...what happens?

...

[Just when she thought she could escape being the exposition machine.]

Roxas, haven't you ever wondered why you were suddenly able to wield two Keyblades?

[ Now Xion looks a little surprised at that. ]

Two?

Yeah...

[putting two and two together now. If Xion didn't go to Sora after...that, then she must have gone to him...and cause she could wield a keyblade to then...]

So, Xion, you're...my second keyblade.

[And for some reason, he's alright with that knowledge. It means she's always been with him, and now it's all making sense]

[And she turns to the other girl helpfully.]

After you fought, he obtained the ability to wield two Keyblades. Normally, wielders can only wield one at a time. He absorbed your ability, at least.

[ Xion tilts her head slightly at the thought of this. Then, after a moment, she nods, looking grateful. ]

I was still with you, Roxas. [ Keeping him safe. Although, with his demeanor that she's noticed as of late... she opens her eyes and looks to him, then Namine. ]

What happened after?

[Roxas sighs. He knows]

I fought with Riku, and lost.

My memories...were changed and I was placed in a digital Twilight Town, so I'd be hidden from the Organization until it was time for me to return to Sora. But Axel found me, and we ended up fighting.

But before I could go back to Sora, I ended up here.

[And she'll be quiet again. Unless he asks, she's not spoiling the rest of KH2 to him. She's done enough damage for the day.]

And we're all here. Sora's awake. [ She looks between Roxas and Namine for a moment. ]

I guess all that doesn't matter here anymore. [ At least she hopes. Their lives were tragedy upon tragedy, and she didn't want to see Roxas get hurt anymore. Then she turns to Namine. ]

Still... I don't know if I have, yet, but thank you, Namine.

I guess it doesn't. [Weird, to think if of it that way. Since he used to worry that the mechanics of their world would start working here]

I'm only doing my best to try and correct everything. It's alright, Xion.

[ Smiles. ] Do you think that's all?

I...don't have any more questions.

[Just a lot to think about]

Mm, okay. If there's anything else, you can ask me anytime.

Okay. [ She nods. She'll give Roxas time and space to think about all this, and to give herself some of her own time to do the same. ]

So what's the plan now?

I want to head to Ecruteak soon. The next badge is there.

That's pretty far, isn't it?

A badge... [ And Xion delves into her own thoughts. ]
