There are a few jokes I find funny. And at times, friendly teasing.

What's a visual pun?

There is a joke I like about penguins. One penguin says to the other, "You look like you're wearing a tuxedo" and the second one replies "Maybe I am". It's a visual pun as penguins look like they're wearing tuxedos, so who can tell if the penguin is wearing one or not?

[Pause, thinking about that. And you're actually getting a smile because that is funny]

Well, there's the kind you tell and then everyone laughs really loud--like a one-liner, or something? But then there's also the kind that's more subtle...like sarcasm, y'know? But then there's knock-knock jokes and the kind where someone gets hit...

Um...there's puns! That's when you try to make a play on words that sound the same! But those always end up different in different languages. Also, there's the kind where someone gets hurt, but not really! And sometimes there's characters...one character who's dumb and another who's really smart and stuff!

[Give him a minute or two get up and open the door. He doesn't want to move too suddenly or he'll wake up Sparky. The room's a bit of a mess because pokemon everywhere.]

H... hello. [ Kisa may be adding a couple more, as Ari's close by her heels and Piko is sitting grumpily in her arms. ]

[Roxas moves to let Kisa in]

[ Kisa droops a little at this. ]

I don't know. I think it's like the other people who have fallen asleep lately.

I know. I don't get it either. It's like they fall asleep, and then they know stuff about the future.

Alright here's another.

A young ensign had nearly completed his first overseas tour of sea duty when he was given an opportunity to display his ability at getting the ship under way. With a stream of crisp commands, he had the decks buzzing with men. The ship steamed out of the channel and soon the port was far behind.

The ensign's efficiency has been remarkable. In fact, the deck was a buzz with talk that he had set a new record for getting a destroyer under way. The ensign glowed at his accomplishment and was not all surprised when another seaman approached him with a message from the captain.

He was, however, a bit surprised to find that it was a den den mushi message, and he was even more surprised when he heard, "My personal congratulations upon completing your underway preparation exercise according to the book and with amazing speed. In your haste, however, you have overlooked one of the unwritten rules. Make sure the Captain is aboard before getting under way!"

....[Give him a minute, we're processing the joke. It gets a little bit of a smile but he's not sure why]

So the guy did everything right but left the captain behind?

Exactly.

So even though he got the ship up and running perfectly, they would still have to go back to get the captain, rendering the whole thing moot. Which would also be rather embarrassing.

Yeah, I guess it would be.

But it's a little ironic. So that's the funny part.

Right. Irony?

A type of humor. Or justice.

It's like a twist on the way you expect things to go. Because he did so well with it and was expecting praise, the irony is that he messed up something so basic it's not even written into procedure.

They'll eat pretty much everything, so it doesn't really matter. [Most are in their pokeballs anyway. He moves out of the way to let Ven in]

Well y'know, I wanted to get something you'd like, too. What you like and all's still something I haven't learned yet.

[Since they've had that talk the other day, he's decided he'll be as forthright as possible too. Maybe it'll help...maybe. In any case he'll mosey on into the room and set the bag on a coffee table before taking stuff out]

Pretty strong. At least, Sparky and Hayner are. and Fearow and Pence. I'm still training Axel and Xion though. I need to raise their levels so I'm training them the most.

It depends on how the person tells the joke. Some people are easy to tell by the way their voice changes. Others...it takes a while, but you usually start to laugh when you find something funny or amusing.

Usually it does, but it depends on the person's personality. Some people like to make it pretty obvious they're telling a joke while others don't.
